We will do our best to accommodate your busy schedule. Request an appointment today!
In light of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, I would like to update you on further changes we are implementing to ensure the well-being of our staff, pet owners, and of course, our patients.
Starting Monday, we will be breaking up into two teams of doctors and staff with alternating days in which the teams will be working. By breaking into teams, allows us to minimize the number of staff members in the hospital at one time. This also allows one team to take over should the other get symptoms that would cause them to stay home. Dr. Pirotto and Dr. Rea will be seeing appointments on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Note: We will now be open until 6 pm on Saturdays. Dr. Suyehara will be seeing appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
We are also implementing temporary changes to our hospital hours. They are as follows:
Monday – Saturday 8 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm. The hospital will be closed from 1 pm to 3 pm daily. **Please note that between 1 pm and 3 pm there will be no availability for medication, food or pet pick up and drop-offs.
We are still available to see your pets as needed during our open hours and will continue with the current protocol:
1) Please arrive at the hospital 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time. Once you are parked, please call the hospital to let us know you have arrived, but please stay in your car. Our waiting area and exam rooms are closed.
2) A technician will call to ask you questions and take a history relating to the visit. They will then meet you and your pet at the front entryway of the hospital. All cats will need to be in carriers. We will respect the 6 feet distancing when possible while getting your pet. Once we have your pet safely inside the hospital, you can return to your car.
3) The doctor will call you on the phone either during or after the exam has been done and discuss diagnostic tests and treatments that are recommended.
***We are hoping to start video conferencing through Zoom cloud meetings soon. If you would like to participate in this, please ensure you have downloaded the ZOOM Cloud Meeting app to your phone. It is not necessary to create an account, as we will be providing a secure link via email for you to access your visit. This will allow for an interactive appointment with the doctor.
We will be testing this in the next few weeks.
I want to thank all of you for being very patient during this time of change. This has been a challenge, but everyone is embracing the changes as best as possible. I would also like to compliment my staff for all their hard work and commitment during these uncertain times. This wonderful team has continued to come to work and have committed their time to ensure the safety of the pets, clients, and co-workers. They have been instrumental in keeping our doors open and keeping the hospital clean and cheerful. I am very lucky to have found such a dedicated and caring group to work with and will continue to do everything possible to keep the entire team working as many hours as possible.
